Pattern for PRAYer...

Here is an acronym for focusing our prayers... P.R.A.Y.

P (praise, adoration)
    ~  Psalm 145:1-3 "I will exalt You, my God and King;  I will bless Your name forever.  Everyday I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.  Great are You, Lord, and most worthy of praise;  Your greatness is unsearchable."
    ~  John 1:3-4 "O Christ, through You all things were made, and without You nothing was made that has been made.  In You was life and the life was our light."
    ~  Rev. 3:7  " Lord Jesus, You are holy and true;  You hold the key of David.  What You open no one can shut and what you shut no one can open."

R (repentance, confession, renewal)
    ~  Isaiah 30:15 "This is what You, the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel have said:  "In repentance and rest is your salvation;  In quietness and trust is your strength.""
    ~  1 Chron. 14:2 "May I do what is good and right in your sight, O Lord my God."    
    ~  Psalm 51:6 "Surely You desire truth in the inner parts, and in the hidden part You make me know wisdom."

A (ask God, intercede for others, bring your needs to Him)
    ~  2 Tim. 4:7-8  "May I fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith, so that there will be laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which You, Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day;  and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for Christ's appearing."
    ~  Matt. 6:11-13  "I look to You for my daily bread, to forgive me my debts as I have forgiven my debtors.  Do not lead me into temptation, but deliver me from the evil one.  For Yours is the kingdom and power and the glory forever."
    ~  Acts 26:18  "Use me, O God, to open the eyes of others and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to You, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Jesus."

Y (yield yourself, your day, your circumstances, your loved ones)
    ~  Psalm 16: 8,9,11  "I have set You, Lord, always before me.  Because You are at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my body also will rest in hope.  You will make known to me the path of life;  in Your presence is fullness of joy;  In Your right hand are pleasures forever."
